My sketches in Turkey, 2013

Share some sketches done during my travel to Turkey in 2013 March-April.

Sketchbook: Moleskine watercolour notebook 140x90mm
Tools: Staedtler liner, Staedtler waterbrush, winsor & newton artists colour

Sketching on the roof terrace of hotel sultanhill in the old town district of istanbul.
I occupied a good location here with view to the bloe mosque to finish my first sketch in istanbul.

Another sketch done on the roof terrace.

Safranbolu is a small town in turkey with many well preseved ottoman era house.
The sky was getting dark when I was sketching there, so I can only did it in rush and complete the colouring in hotel.

A 2 hours journey from safranbolu to amasra.
I was sitting behind the driver. What I can do was to draw the compartment through the rearview mirror.

Drew on the bus from safranbolu to Ankara.
The damping system of bus is no good but the shaking line looks not really bad

Done another sketch on the bus from Ankara to Goreme.
Perhaps I missed the stunning panorama view of safranbolu so much.

Drew on the terance of hotel door of cappadocia in goreme.
The drawing looks a bit messy.

Again, I completed another sktech on the terrace of the hotel on our last day staying in goreme.
The view from the hotel is perfect that I cannot stop myself to draw once again.
